This time last year, we had just completed working on National Vegetarian Week. The Budget was 3,500 pound to be a Partner to the Vegetarian Society, 4,500 pound Bureau expenses for new recipes, photography, press releases and 15,000 pound of my timefor six month's work. Joan sent out 7,993 copies of our recipe booklet, Mushrooms Vegetarian... and Vegan. Outgoings for this promotion were 23,000 pound. By the time the results had been collated, the return on this investment was 164,993 pound in media coverage. (151,934 pound the previous year).
