Nucleotide sequence and infectivity of a full-length cDNA clone of panicum mosaic virus.

摘要

The sequence analysis of a full-length clone of panicum mosaic sobemovirus (PMV) is described and its infection of Pennisetum glaucum plants and protoplasts demonstrated. It is concluded that PMV differs significantly from previously described members of the Tombusviridae family in genome organization, physicochemical properties and biological features to warrant a place in a new genus provisionally designated Panicovirus.
