A trends analysis of undergraduates enrolled for pharmacy degrees at UK schools of pharmacy

Schools of pharmacy have increased student enrolments in response to government policy to expand higher education, and to address workforce shortages in both community and hospital pharmacy. However, such increases may have detrimental effects on academic standards and student learning,particularly given the one-third decline in full-time academic pharmacists over the past 20 years.In this study we used a trends analysis to model trends in student intakes into UK schools of pharmacy.
