Preparation of porous carbons by chemical activation of polyethyleneterephthalate

摘要

Polyethyleneterephthalate(PET)has become a major post-consumer plastic waste material.For its wide commercial application(e.g.replacing glass in softdrink bottles and containers)PET products present a problem due to the huge amount of solid waste produced.Thus,a serious challenge has arisen in industrial countries concerning the large amount of waste polymers that have to be burned or,less often,recycled.
