From modest beginnings as a Panel van, Shaun Lewis's T5 is not just one of the most widely acknowledged modified examples on the show scene, but it also has the power to perform strongly on the drag strip... CONSIDERING that Shaun Lewis's T5 has now become one of the most widely recognised modified T5 vans, with many show awards and several magazine features already to its credit, it all started off very modestly. Having recently relinquished a high-spec Skoda Fabia, Shaun purchased it as a Panel van in 2008, with 7,000 miles on the clock, with the intention of using it simply as transport for his Motocross bike and kit. It was a fairly basic 90 PS 1.9 TDI with 5-speed gearbox and not much else; it even had wind-up windows!
