AMTRAK IMPLEMENTATION OF ECP FOR PASSENGER TRAIN ROLLING STOCK: AIR BRAKE ASSOCIATION TECHNICAL CONFERENCE -MONTREAL

Amtrak with APTA (The American Public Transportation Association) is working closely with industry suppliers, New York Air Brake-Knorr (NYAB-K) and Wabtec- Passenger and Railway Electronics Divisions (W-PTD & W-RED) to adapt the AAR freight railroad proven ECP (Electronically Controlled Pneumatic) Brake Systems for use on passenger rail equipment. Our effort is assisted by the AAR (Association of American Railroads) and has the support and encouragement of the FRA (Federal Railroad Administration).
