One of the primary goals of the Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPC) is its mission to foster animal and human health while preserving the human-animal bond through recommendations for the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and control of parasiticinfections. This mission is supported by six basic CAPC recommendations (see box).
