Wai Gao Qiao - European Export Technology for the Global Market

摘要

Wai Gao Qiao represents a flagship project, where highly advanced steam generator technology was applied in the P. R. of China. Besides a cost-effective project execution on schedule and a good co-operation with the customer a close supervision and quality assurance of the local part manufacturing as well as a tightly monitored global sourcing are decisive success factors for such projects. The first operating results are fully satisfactory and were the cornerstone for the generation of a follow-up project. The main challenge for ALSTOM remains to keep and extend the lead in advanced steam generator technology. This is possible, if new state-of-the-art plants will be constructed again in Germany and in Europe in the near future.
