摘要

DS burners have been industrially used for more than 20 years. Originally developed for hard coals they are used today in applications over the whole coal spectrum. DS burner technology is applied for lignite as well as for the whole wide coal range from high volatile sub-bituminous coals to anthracite. In addition, DS burners are approved for combustion of dried lignite as well as biomass. This burner technology assures exceptional flame stability within a wide load range for all fuels mentioned above. At present, combustion systems are predominantly developed for direct injection of pulverised fuel. The heat required for the grinding process is defined by mill capacity and fuel moisture and is met by temperature and volume of the primary air flow. For these conditions burners have to be designed for a coal to PA ratio of 0.3 to 0.6 kg/kg (hard coals) and 200 to 250 g/m~3 (lignite).
