Co-generation of electric power and heat in the Czech republic

The paper starts with a short description of the power-heat coupling principle and concentrates on the respective plants. In its central part, experience made with large projects is outlined where cogeneration has been used in the Czech Republic: in Vresova and Cerveny Mlyn/Brno, constructed by ABB Energeticke systemy. It is one of the export articles of ABB ENS and CCPP Dobbestroom. At the end of the paper, Czech-specific problems are outlined. some of which also in the current text of the paper.
