Thermal treatment and utilization of ground with carbon contamination by Co-combustion

At a lignite-fired steam generator with circulating fluidized bed, successful tests have been made for the thermal treatment and utilization of carboncontaminated ground. This opened up the possibility of an economic utilization of annually up to2000 to 5000 tonnes of contaminated ground in a heating power plant by CO-combustion.
