摘要

TRD (Technical Rules for Steam Boilers) 508 prescribes continual monitoring of components calculated with time-dependent strength values. In steam generators with many start-ups and shutdowns, thermal stresses causes reduction of the residual lifetime of individual components. Traditional methods for the determination of thermal stresses are not optimal because of high installation and maintenance expenditures incurred. It is possible instead to determine the wall temperature difference from measured data, i.e. steam temperature, steam pressure and flow rate near thick-walled components. This is outlined taking a power plant as an example.
