Flat glass manufacturing: the float glass

摘要

After an historical recalling, the float glass process described in details: melting furnace, tin bath, forming of the glass ribbon for different thickness, adjustment of various parameters of the process, chemistry of the float bath. Float glass quality is then considered: defects, optical quality, control, performances.
