Glass level measuring system boosts accuracy

For over 50 years Kiihn-reich & Meixner has specialised in the measuring and automatic control of glass manufacturing processes. The process begins with a platinum tipped electrode being lowered into the melting furnace at regular intervals. If the electrode touches the glass melt a closed electrical circuit is produced. The section that the electrode covers during contact provides the glass level measurement.
