摘要

The proportion of conventional double glazed dwellings in the fifteen EU member countries, whilst increasing steadily over the last ten years, still only amounts to 46 percent of the total housing stock. The opportunity exists to upgrade single-glazed windows and conventional double-glazed windows to incorporate low-Emissivity glass during replacement or refurbishment. The use of low-Emissivity glass in double-glazing systems will improve the energy savings and reduction of CO_2 emissions associated with conventional double glazing. GEPVP has made an assessment of what these additional benefits are.
