Introduction: A more effective tuberculosis (TB) vaccine is needed to eliminate TB disease. Many new vaccine candidates enhance the immunogenicity of the existing vaccine, Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG). Understanding BCG induced immune variation is key to developing a new vaccine.
