The Russian nuclear submarine, Kursk, which sank in the Barents Sea a year ago, is to be raised using giant cylinders made up of tube and hydraulic pipeline to provide the lifting to provide the lifting momentum.These cylinders were built by Hydrospex, using tube and pipe supplied by Van Leeuwen Buizen in Zwijndrecht, Holland and Van Leeuwen Precisie in Deventer. Most of the 600 tons order was supplied to Hydrospex, although a significant minority went directly to the transport and salvage company Mammoet.
