摘要

Shale tars are plastic, polar substances containing hydroxyl groups. This contributes to the formation - during adsorption - of an optimum solvate boundary layer for the binder on the surfaces of carbon grains. That kind of layer is continuous and provides good Theological properties to paste, making it possible to form granules with the required mechanical strength. Shale tar films cover the carbon-base fine-dispersed particles well, joining them into a single volumetric system. During carbonization of the granules, a carbonaceous composition forms linking the binder into a porous framework, which integrates the separate particles of the carbon base. The charge used to produce adsorbents consisted of mixtures of coal tar dust and furanoformolite. Grade T shale generator tar and coal from the Kuznetsk Basin (the "Central" shaft) was used - containing 14.1 percent volatile substances.
