Buffoli, Italy, manufacture Trans-Bar machines - multi-spindle CNC transfer machines fed by non-rotating bars or tubes - ideally suited to the complete machining of turned parts in one single chucking. Although these machines are quickly re-tooled as with a two-spindle CNC lathe, they offer higher productivity than a multi-spindle screw machine, and even allow the complete processing of those parts that cannot be finish machined on lathes.
