The Thermatool Group have announced the commissioning of a state of the art high speed tube mill at a major steel tube producer in Mexico. The complete mill provided by the Group's T&H Lemont Division can weld a tube size range from 0.75" (19mm) to 3"(88.9mm) outside diameter by 0.13" (3.3mm) maximum wall thickness at a speed range of 400 FPM (120 MPM) to 550 FPM (168 MPM). The mill has quick-change capabilities and includes a Thermatool CFI 500 Solid State HF welder as well as an Alpha Shear Flying Cutoff for cutting commercial product in line at high speeds.
