摘要

When sulfidizers are used to impoverish copper-containing iron-silicate slags, a gas phase forms which includes apart from others - two components: oxygen and sulfur which, depending on process conditions, form the oxidation and sulfidizing potential of a system. The kinetics of interaction between sulfides and iron-silicate slag have been inadequately studied because of experimental problems: the need for quantitative determination of many parameters in order to determine the condition of a system at a given moment in time. One stage of this process is an interaction of the gas phase, containing elemental sulfur, with the melt. As shown in [1], an examination of the interaction between this gas system with slag matte melts has independent practical significance for impoverishing slags with respect to non-ferrous metals. The aim of the laboratory research into the interaction of sulfur-containing gas phase with slags was to explain the effect of various factors on the process of slag impoverishment of copper.
