The operating efficiency of purification installations depends on the flow of shaft water, the pH, and the specific consumption of iron vitriol which have to be controlled and regulated. Further, control has to be exercised over the quality of shaft water purification (its content of suspended particles and of zinc, lead, copper, and iron cations) on discharge from the purification units. A complex of technical facilities was developed and introduced to the purification installation of the PO Dan'nolimetall mine to automate control over shaft water purification [1]. Automating control includes a system to automatically regulate the consumption of milk of lime and iron vitriol, based on AZeE-8A analyzers, a control pH-meter based on the Reagent-3A unit, a system to collect and supply liquid samples on an OTPP-2 base, and a suspensions-indicator based on the AZhF-1 analyzer.
