Simple fertility analysis

The problem with any analysis is that it in the simplest sense it is restricted to information that you have at the time. It can be very difficult to allow for information that is missing, which is often the case with fertility. Obviously, if you waitlong enough then most of the information becomes available as eventually we know exactly which cows became pregnant and by default the rest will have been culled or died. This is fine in a theoretical situation but in practice we need to be able to assess trends in performance based on what is happening now or even predict what is going to happen in the future. If not we will be unlikely to have time to correct the situation and assess losses.
