The availability of a satisfactory range of authorised veterinary medicines remains a challenge. Against a background of expected new legislation over the coming years that might improve the situation, developments in relation to new medicines continue (albeit that the pace of innovation is rather pedestrian). Even if much of the 1MB communication focus is now directed towards internet users by means of specific web content and regular updates, it is recognised that this media is not satisfactory for all needs.
