摘要

Cystic adventitial disease (CAD) is a well-known but rare disease producing symptoms of arterial occlusive disease in men in their 40's and 60s. It is usually situated in the popliteal area, sometimes even afflicting veins [1]. There are different hypotheses about the etiological origin of this pathology [2, 3]. In this paper a case of recurrent CAD after complete resection of the popliteal artery is presented, suggesting that the origin of the disease cannot be situated in the arterial structure itself.
