Innovative water treatment works enters operation

Nestling in the rolling hills of Somerset, England, Wessex Water's Maundown works represents a quantum leap in water treatment. The works occupies a significantly reduced footprint, boasts a number of "green" initiatives and delivers incredibly pure water. Moreover, the whole system can now be efficiently run by a single operator, in part thanks to the extensive use of Profibus-enabled electric actuators.
