Continuing the series by on pipeline design guidelines. Whilst the articles are written from a Canadian standpoint, most of the information also applies elsewhere. This month looks in more detail at crossings. In the May 2016 issue I briefly outlined Crossings. In this article I will discuss the subject in more detail. One of the most important aspects of pre-construction pipeline engineering is the identification of foreign pipeline, cable, road & railway crossing and procurement of crossing agreements for various types.
