Strength and corrosion resistance attract customers to duplex

Duplex stainless steel still has only a tiny share of the market for stainless steel. However, customers are increasingly drawn to it because of its favourable strength-to-weight ratio, which allow materials savings of up to 50% compared with austenitics. In this article we take a look at a number of applications and industries where duplex use is likely to increase, because of the material's strength and corrosion resistance.
