Latest drive technology on landing terminal to secure supply of natural gas in Europe

The Lubminer Baltic Sea beach has a central role in the energy supply for Germany and Europe: It's the location of the technical heart of automation for Europe's latest energy infrastructure investment in recent years. Here, the pipes of the North Stream pipeline reach German soil and deliver up to 6.6 million cubic meters/hour of Russian natural gas to the new landing terminal station Greifswald. This alone could cover almost two-thirds of consumption in Germany. The plant in Lubmin is the largest of its kind in Europe, costing over 150 million Euro and has more than 400 employees from over 40 companies employed at peak times. The plant was opened on November 8, 2011 at the time under the supervision of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, former Chancellor and North Stream Chairman of the Shareholders Gerhard Schroeder and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, French Prime Minister Francois Fillon, the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and EU Energy Commissioner Gunther Oettinger.
