Ongoing expansion at RasGas

Think LNG and you will inevitably think of Qatar. This country has been gifted with a strategic geographical location atop the world's largest offshore non-assocsated natural gas resource - the North Field. One of the companies set op to exploit that gas is RasGas, which currently produces LNG from three massive trains. Looking to supply multiple large-scale renewable gas sales for many decades to come, RasGas is currently working on trains 4 and 5, whilst trains 6 and 7 are already out for bidding. For an inside view at some of the valve issues, we met up with RasGas Expansion Project Manager for Onshore Site Operations, Mr. Doug Smith.
