Learning to do business in the global marketplace takes a new set of skills and practices. As opportunities around the globe continue to open up, valve makers and users are learning those new ways of operating. The world seems to get smaller every day as borders come crashing down and the international marketplace becomes a reality. This affects both the companies that make valves and those that specify them, since new markets can open new possibilities for what's out there. However, doing business around the globe is not for the faint-hearted or the ignorant. To provide our readers an idea of what's involved, we interviewed several VMA companies that have well-established international operations.
