Cleaning Out The Notebook

2007 is already behind us, hard to believe! Usually my marketing report deals with one subject, but for this issue, I need to report on several events, and generally just clean out my notebook. So here goes, a little bit of everything... Baked Reds aHit at PMA: "I didn't know you could bake a red potato!" was heard many times as we served baked Red River Valley Red Potatoes at the PMA Fresh Summit in Houston last October. We knew that was a common misconception, which is why we took that approach this year. Over 700 samples were handed out over the three-day show, and nearly everyone responded positively. Many people enjoyed the potatoes plain, without butter or sour cream that were available, and came away impressed with the rich and moist texture of a baked Red River Valley Red.
