The Valley Suffers A Loss With The Passing Of Clifford Moquist

Cliff Moquist, a longtime friend to the potato industry, passed away at the age of 90 on Monday, December 19, 2005, at the Holmes Regional Hospital in Melbourne, Florida. Cliff Moquist was born December 15, 1915, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Andrew and Sophie Moquist, immigrants from Smaaland, Sweden. They lived in Braham, Minnesota, New York City, East Meredith, New York, and Farmingdale, Long Island. He was the first person to leave from Farmingdale as a volunteer under the draft law in November of 1940.
