摘要

Historically, there has not been a technology capable of providing fast, accurate measurements in the high-temperature, high-vibration environments in turbomachinery. Advancements in fiber optics are enabling the direct measurement of parameters in these harsh environments, which can help to reduce costs and make turbines operate more efficiently. For instance, accurate information obtained from direct measurement can enhance condition-based maintenance. The profiling of the pressure caused by blades passing can help to design for higher efficiencies, or to increase peak performance. High-frequency measurements of pressure can enable active control technologies to reduce high-cycle fatigue.
