IN MAY THIS YEAR, St Albans Crown Court issued the largest-ever confiscation order arising from a trading standardsinvestigation. The order for ￡3,042,671 was issued against David Jones, who had traded under the name Datacom from premises in Hertfordshire. The confiscation proceedings were triggered after Jones pleaded guilty to supplying mis-described printer cartridges and demanding money for unsolicited cartridges and paper.
