Sweden - A prototype of a hybrid electric city bus offering rapid charging called the Arctic Whiser, has gone on test in Umea, Sweden. The vehicle, a converted Volvo 7700 city bus, has been developed by local company, Opbrid SL, together with a team of several other technology companies from Europe and one from the USA, as part of a project to develop a practical fast charged electric or hybrid bus system.
