Heavy truck and bus manufacturer, Scania AB of Sodertalje, has reported its vehicle deliveries in 2008 as 73,793 units, 3% down on 75,878 vehicles delivered in 2007. The last quarter deliveries amounted to 17,975 compared with 22,005 vehicles in the same quarter of 2007. Order bookings declined by 46% to 51,034 from 94,093 vehicles in 2007; however, it was the fourth quarter that really demonstrated the impact of the financial crisis; Scania's order intake fell by 91% to 2,423 compared with 26,007 vehicles in the last quarter of 2007.
