Hong Kong/China - Asia's largest aluminium extrusion product manufacturer, Hong Kongbased China Zhongwang Holdings Ltd (China Zhongwang) has announced it has been working with one of China's recently founded new energy bus builders, Brilliance Bus (Dalian) Co Ltd (Brilliance Bus) of Dalian, to develop all-aluminium all-electric buses. China Zhongwang claims that this co-operation is the first time an aluminium processing enterprise in China has undertaken both the design and manufacturing of an all-aluminium electric passenger transport bus. The frame and body is made of aluminium alloy and as a result, so China Zhongwang claims, its weight is reduced by 40% compared with its steel counterparts.
