Steam hybrid energy recovery units in trucks a reality by 2017 according to Clean Power Technologies

UK - Clean Power Technologies of Newhaven, England, is predicting that some production trucks will be fitted with its steam hybrid system as standard by 2017. This comes as CPT unveiled its first step into the energy recovery market with its Clean Energy Separation And Recovery (CESAR) system aimed initially for use in enhanced energy recovery at landfill sites. Product acceptance engineer, Michael Roberts, stated: "Starting out, we believed refrigerated units on semi-trailers to be a realistic target for our system. During the design and trial process, however, we also identified uses for other applications."
