UK - A strong heavy truck presence in the UK is seen as key to future business success for Iveco, according to Henk van Leuven, managing director, Iveco UK Ltd, speaking at the company's 23rd 'State of the Nation' annual press conference in London last month. Van Leuven said that heavy trucks were crucial to its dealer network and to Iveco in providing a profitable and strong business in the future. Van Leuven added that Iveco UK had, in the past been living off sales successes of the Iveco Daily, but this had its limitations and needed to change. Daily, he explained, did not come in for regular service at the truck network and it offered, less of a secure after-market opportunity.
