Daimler planning series production of new safety systems across whole commercial vehicle range

Germany - Daimler AG of Stuttgart is working on a number of new technologies for series production across its entire commercial vehicle range to improve vehicle safety, driver visibility from the vehicle and to reduce vehicle accident rates. Daimler held an event to demonstrate those features it is working on in Berlin during July. The demonstration included a diverse range of Daimler vehicles - from a Sprinter van to a semitrailer Actros tractor and from an articulated Citaro bus to a super high-deck Tourismo touring coach - were in Berlin to demonstrate the capabilities of state-of-the-art assistance systems.
