New Scania contract completes truck customer base for Leoni in Europe

Germany - "With Scania, Leoni is able to complete its customer base - now we count all major European truck manufacturers among our commercial vehicles clientele," announced Dr Andreas Brand, member of Leoni AG's management board speaking at the IAA commercial vehicle show last month. The commercial vehicle business sector at Leoni AG of Nuremburg - a global supplier of wires, optical fibres, cables and cable systems to the automotive sector - has managed to obtain an order from Swedish truck builder, Scania AB of Sodertalje, to manufacture wiring harnesses for a variety of engine platforms. The contract comprises the multi-national production and supply of high quality products in Europe and Brazil for a three year period beginning in mid-2015. More specifically Leoni is to produce and supply complex wiring harnesses, which connect all electric and electronic components of the whole truck engine as well as sensors and control units with each other.
