Irizar Group sales up 16%

Spain - Irizar S Coop of Orzmataigi, Spain, announced sales were 16% up (EUR363m) in the first nine months of this year compared with the same period in 2007. Turnover for the full year in 2007 reached EUR434m on sales of 3,900 units. The Group is forecasting an increase in revenues for the full year in 2008 of more than 15% and expects to produce more than 4,500 coaches at its seven global plants by the end of this year. Financially, the company stated, the Group was in exceptional shape with international sales up 21% against 2007 and accounting for more than 82% of turnover. Its bank debt was less than 5% of Group assets. Furthermore turnover had increased by 57% over the past five years.
