The Indonesian pickup truck segment, almost entirely made up of models imported as built-up units from Thailand, fell sharply in the third quarter of 2016, down 47%. The only domestic model is the Isuzu Panther, which shares its platform with the Panther utility vehicle sold in increasingly small volumes. The 47% fall in sales in the third quarter, resulted in a 29% drop in cumulative nine-month sales to 11,364 units. Mitsubishi moved to the top of the table despite reporting a 17% fall in Triton sales to 4,520 units, while Toyota dropped to second place after it reported a 47% fall in Hilux sales to 3,775 units.
