Bangalore - Scania Commercial Vehicles India Pvt Ltd (SCVI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of heavy-duty truck and bus specialist, Scania AB of Sodertalje, Sweden, which entered the Indian market through its partnership with Larsen & Toubro in 2007 and which began manufacturing trucks in Narasapura (Bangalore) in June last year, has announced a number of moves to expand its market share in both the premium bus and coach and heavy-duty truck segments and to double its sales volume this financial year. (In 2013, Scania says it sold a total of 600 commercial vehicles both in the premium inter-city coach segment and in the heavy-duty truck segment, predominantly for mining applications).
