Goodyear Dunlop accelerates its mould-cure commitment: 'Everybody Wants to Sell Complete Tyres'

Goodyear is also increasingly claiming a bigger share of the European mould-cure retreading market. The company's most recent coup was the take-over of GE Capital/TIP from Bandag, a fleet with about 70,000 trailers in Europe. The GE contract includes for example the delivery of 48,000 mould-cure retreaded truck tyres every year. Although the overall market is decreasing in size, demand for hot retreads has "grown disproportionately," says Goodyear-Dunlop. There are still some countries in Europe that have to catch up on this development - and Goodyear wants to benefit from with a following strategy.
