摘要

What is in your in box this autumn? For Centro chief executive Geoff Inskip HS2 is top of the pile. Geoff Inskip, chief executive of West Midlands passenger transport executive Centra is looking forward to a busy few months lobbying to continue Government's support for the next stage of Britain's high speed rail development. A hybrid bill is due to appear next year. "HS2 is the big issue for us," he says. "We are pushing Government to deliver the full Y network which is both the route from London to Birmingham and the connections to Manchester and Leeds. That will create an economic hub that could be very attractive and encourage business to relocate north. Birmingham for instance would be only 40 minutes from London and Leeds - a good place to be."
