Efforts to reduce the number of collisions involving cyclists and heavy goods vehicles have led to a new safety programme known as CLOCS. Competing construction companies are working together to improve the safety of cyclists, pedestrians and other vulnerable road users by signing up to a new safety standard for heavy goods vehicles. The Construction Logistics & Cyclist Safety initiative (CLOCS) was introduced earlier this year by Transport for London, with support from consultant AECOM, in an effort to address a disproportionate number of collisions between those on two wheels and large vehicles with more than four.
