Few lubrication challenges are more difficult than creating an ideal oil for air compressors, particularly for the rotary screw air compressor. Inside the compressor the lubricant is forced to mix with the air being compressed. The oxygen in the air, the high pressure, the high temperatures and the moisture that condenses out of the compressed air -together these elements create a hostile environment that can break down even the toughest lubricant.
