Being a provider of insurance programs for a number of tree care companies, I find myself explaining the various workers' compensation classification codes, rates, and rating rules to tree care company owners on a more-than-regular basis. Candidly, Ihave to say that not all of these "conversations" that I have with my clients run smoothly. Workers' compensation insurance is costly for those in the tree care industry and as a result, the subject can understandably become a lightning rod of sorts during insurance reviews and negotiations.
